Bare Essentials makeup is probably the fastest growing brand of makeup in the country. From TV ad sales to full counters in department stores nationwide, the company has really boomed. However, is it as effective as they claim?

Price
The Bare Minerals Getting Started Kit typically retails for between $70 and $100, depending on where you purchase it and any deals or specials. Usually, the best bargains can be found not in retail stores, but on television or through the Bare Minerals website.
Admittedly, the price is high for what is essentially a foundation and blush kit. However, the starter kit also comes with multiple brushes - and every makeup expert knows, a good brush kit can be costly. If you’re on a budget or just want try the product without making a full commitment, you can purchase a smaller starter kit online for about $59.
Ease of Use
Unfortunately, if you don’t know how to use your Bare Essentials makeup, it’s not going to look good. After purchasing my kit, I attempted to delve right in without viewing the how-to DVD. The results were horrendous.
